Here
is a German sword from c. 1480 (#IX 949). It has a length of 1097 mm (43.2") long,
with a blade-length of 887 mm (34.9"). It weighs 1250 gram (2 lbs 12 oz) and is very
well balanced. This sword is described on p.180 in Records of the Medieval Sword by
Ewart Oakeshott.
